Dear Lifebuilder:
LANCELOT mc'ed.
MR FREEZE taught on giving.
GUEST MISSIONARY RUBEN GUYTON briefed the class on the Tlapaneco Indian ministry. 10 acres were recently purchased with a generous gift. This property will be used for a medical clinic. The sick normally have to travel 8 hours to Mexico City for medical care. After a 5 year effort a well with good water was recently drilled. Prior to this, water had to be transported from a river. Current support pays pastors' salaries & medical supplies, but no funds are available for other mission activities e.g. pastoral & missionary meetings. A portrait or Ruben in full speech can be viewed at the Lifebuilder Blogger Site: Lifebuilders Blogger Site
ZACHARY KLINKE UPDATE: This past week Zachary finished chemo & is officially in remission. He had his portacath removed this week.
Ron MANN- FEC stand in Musicmeister is having back problems.
PAT BERNARDINI's MAN PURSE: Pat tried to enter the class late and undetected with Terri, sporting a green canvas Man Purse. Pat declined to divulge the contents of his bag when questioned. A Picture of Pat's bag can be viewed on the Lifebuilder Blogger's Site: Lifebuilders Blogger Site
PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH: is October. Lifebuilders will be honoring ANDREW BEACH 10/1-10/16. Information on Andrew and Pastor Appreciation Month can be viewed at the Blogger Site: Lifebuilders Blogger Site

Prayer was requested for the SUDANESE MINISTRY at First Evan.

STEVEN'S STUFF: The latest living color communiqué from our former FEC Senior Pastor is posted on the Lifebuilder Blogger Site: Lifebuilders Blogger Site

Please remember DAVID BRUMFIELD'S mother who appears to have metastatic cancer to the lung.DR COUZZINS was spied ambulating in Big Church- evidently none the worse for his recent hip replacement. He is still having trouble with a neuropathy in his legs.

MINDLESS MOVIE TIME! Another movie was thoughtfully viewed this week by this member of the class. An unbiased review of the movie "Babylon A.D." can be viewed at the Lifebuilder Haute Couture Blogger Site: Lifebuilder's Haute Couture Review Site

WEEKEND GET AWAY: Tired of tailgating at the Ole Miss games in Oxford? A nice weekend jaunt can be had in Holly Springs at "Graceland Too." Paul McLeod is the curator of a pink version of Graceland less than 1 hour from Memphis. Paul's collection includes a table made by Charles Bronson while filming Kid Galahad, a cup Lisa Marie drank from as well as a rare cardboard Elvis effigy. The museum is open 24/7. Admission is either $5.00 or a 6 pack of diet coke. More on this site of local interest can be viewed at the following link: Graceland Too

Dear Lifebuilder:

Lancelot moderated.

BIRTHDAY MALE: Richardo Jordan celebrated his 55th birthday this Sunday. See photo on Lifebuilder Blogger Site of Rick's eclectic attire in our House of Worship. Lifebuilders Blogger Site

VISITORS: Rick & Rebecca Greer, not new to FEC, braved a visitation. They requested prayer for family friend's son, SAM GRANT, who is being treated at St. Jude for eye cancer.

HURRICANE HELP: The Red Cross may need volunteers Thursday, Friday and Saturday in their shelters. If you would like to be contacted if Red Cross needs volunteers, send your e-mail and phone number to christi@firstevan.org . First Evan will not be setting up a Relief Office or taking donations at this time.

MAJOR MINOR HURRICANE PROBLEM: The Minor's Aunt Betty and friend, John Rice, were evacuated from NOLA for the storm.

REID PATRICK was accepted to the University of Alabama- Roll Tide!

FALL BREAK VACATION IDEA: School has started and soon Fall Break will be upon us. This time of year is too early for skiing and not assuredly hot enough for boating at Pickwick. Besides the obvious expense, time restraints, and poor current currency exchanges, overseas venues are probably not feasible. The Gilbert McClungs are strongly considering an Autumn trip to our Neighbor to the North for the break. Gilbert recommends considering a stay at Teeswater, Ontario for the 2008 INTERNATIONAL PLOWING MATCH proudly sponsored the Ontario Plowmen's Association. A tractor in hand is not required to participate. Separate mule and horse competitions are available as well. More on the match can be found at the following link: 2008 International Plowing Match
