Lifebuilders 08/05/07

Dear Lifebuilder:

PRESTONIUS MAXIMUMUS taught on Hope.

LANCELOT THE GRAY opened in prayer.

LE LOBSTER debriefed the class regarding the pastor search.

VISITORS: The McWhorters, former Lifebuilders, fresh from retirement, have permanently returned to their Memphis haunts. They have purchased Dottie Graham's home- minus Dottie- of course. He will be working on a degree from DTS anticipating a post-retirement ministery.

THORNE THINGS: Jim & Pat Thorne's daughter, Sara, has been discharged from her Seattle hospital after surgery. She had a flare up of her kidney problem. She has returned to her nursing job.NICK NEWS: Nick's meeting with TBI this week went well.

MEN's MINISTERY: Dr. Steve Farrar will be speaking at Ellendale Baptist Church Friday 9/7 6:30-10:00 PM & Saturday 9/8 8:30 AM-Noon.

CONCERT OF PRAYER: Last Sunday PM followed by a Congregational Meeting re the pastor search.

RETURN OF THE TRAVELING BAND. DAVID BRUMFIELD & JAMIE HENWOOD were present and accounted for in class. Details of their continental choral touring experience were enjoyed by all.

JOANNE CLARK requests volunteers for STREETS MINISTRIES for the 2007-2008 school year. Evening tutoring as at the Vance Streets location. There is also a daytime tutoring through reading program at Georgia Elementary- usually between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM. Also available is assisting 1st grade teachers at Georgia Elementary with more flexible hours. For more information and opportunities, contact Kathy Albertine (767-0195).
