ALPENHORN HAPPENING: Despite his recent medical problems, Ron Man is trying to spice up the musical and instrumental variety in the traditional Sunday AM worship service. "I've been intrigued about the idea of introducing novel instrumentality to our worship experience." Ron opines. On a recent jaunt to Old Europe, Ron encountered some non-traditional uses for the Swiss Alpenhorn. As a composer, Ron is sure to be challenged by the limited range of only 16 available notes spread over 5 octaves. "Could be tough on any soloist" Ron notes. A photo of the Swiss Alpenhorn and musician in traditional lederhosen can be viewed at the following link: Traditional Alpenhorn Musician More on non-traditional uses of the Alpenhorn: Non-traditional uses of the Alpenhorn
