FIRST TIME AROUND: Lifebuilder nests are quickly emptying with college-bound fledglings leaving this month. They include: Peter Henwood, John Irvine, Ruth Minor, Kirk Patrick and Spencer Jordan.

THORNE THANGS: Sarah Thorne had a kidney stent placed this week. She is convalescing from surgery 3 weeks ago.

VISITORS: The McWhorters, former Lifebuilders, fresh from retirement, have permanently returned to their Memphis haunts. They have purchased Dottie Graham's home- minus Dottie- of course. He will be working on a degree from DTS anticipating a post-retirement ministery.

THORNE THINGS: Jim & Pat Thorne's daughter, Sara, has been discharged from her Seattle hospital after surgery. She had a flare up of her kidney problem. She has returned to her nursing job.NICK NEWS: Nick's meeting with TBI this week went well.

MEN's MINISTERY: Dr. Steve Farrar will be speaking at Ellendale Baptist Church Friday 9/7 6:30-10:00 PM & Saturday 9/8 8:30 AM-Noon.

CONCERT OF PRAYER: Last Sunday PM followed by a Congregational Meeting re the pastor search.

RETURN OF THE TRAVELING BAND. DAVID BRUMFIELD & JAMIE HENWOOD were present and accounted for in class. Details of their continental choral touring experience were enjoyed by all.

JOANNE CLARK requests volunteers for STREETS MINISTRIES for the 2007-2008 school year. Evening tutoring as at the Vance Streets location. There is also a daytime tutoring through reading program at Georgia Elementary- usually between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM. Also available is assisting 1st grade teachers at Georgia Elementary with more flexible hours. For more information and opportunities, contact Kathy Albertine (767-0195).

TRAVELING BAND: Lifebuilders DAVID BRUMFIELD & JAMIE HENWOOD gave a private choral performance for The Pope. Jamie is stopping in England.

RETURN OF THE RONNIE: RCS has reportedly returned from his pastor's conference in the Middle East ostensibly to care for his neglected Hungarian yard.

DESTINATION EVENTS: The entire Klinke Clan recently returned from a "Destination Wedding" in Italy. While there, Patriarch Preston took the family on a tour of the Ligurian coast and Rome. Preston notes "These destination events are something people from all sorts of different backgrounds could enjoy." Preston is suggesting to his Hebrew friends the enchanting prospect of planning a destination Bar/Bat Mitzvah in tropical climes. Herr Klink suggest that "not only is destination important, but entertainment planning as well. JIM THORNE BIRTHDAY BASH: Lifebuilder's responded in force to celebrate Dr. Doktor Jim Thorne's "Three score and ten" at the Dormois Party Pad this past Friday. Smokey meaty treats were grilled and served up to hungry stomachs and hearts by our favorite Pediatric Dental Care Specialist. Better Half Pat Thorne served as Prosecuting Attorney at a mock trial of The Good Doctor. Lancelot Minor, Esq. presided as judge while the class attendees served in the jury. Jim was found guilty as charged for being a "not nice yankee immigrant". He was sentenced to life without parole with Pat.

VISITORS FROM AFAR: Sister of ANNE J OF GALLOWAY, Nancy Bagnoli, was visiting from DC. Former FEC Uber Frau, JA(Y)NE STEPHENS, is in the River City to fawn over her new grandson & "Take care of business" for husband Ronnie here & in Atlanta. She will also be visiting her mother in Virginia who is having health problems. Elder son Seth will be graduating from Moody in Chicago & will possibly be attending Talbot in California.

LIFEBUILDERS IN ACTION: Lifebuilders sponsored the STREETS MINISTRIES End-of-school-year party last Tuesday. Pizza, fruity flavored drinks and ice crème were consumed in large quantities by students, tutors and staff.

CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH: The whole of the BERNARDINI CLAN was present in force for this past Tuesday's tutoring session. First Evaners JACK BURGESS AND PROF CHIP HILL along with a host of other tutors were present for a much welcomed sandwich/chip supper. PAT B and company assisted some adventurous young men in a repelling and belaying tutorial from the education building rafters. Tutoring is held Tuesdays weekly at the True Light MB church on Stage Road in Bartlett.

TURKEY TRIALS: Prayer is requested for the safety of FEC mission families currently working Turkey. There was an assassination of missionary staff in Malatya April 13. Please remember the Fraziers in Izmir and Campbells and the reset of the Oasis staff at the Ankyra school.
